Student Organization Approvals Board

The Student Organization Approvals Board (SOAB) oversees the new organization recognition and approval process. SOAB members serve as liaisons to student leaders and support them navigating through the different stages, provide feedback on their constitutions and organizational plans, and vote on advancing them through the recognition process.

  • Guiding 17 new organizations through the Preliminary Recognition Process.

  • Guiding 22 new organizations through the Tentative Recognition Process.

Past Accomplishments

  • Guided 12 new organizations through the Preliminary Recognition Process in Spring 2024.

  • Guided 53 new organizations through the Tentative Recognition Process in Spring 2024.

    • 37 of which became fully recognized.
