The Wellness Committee advocates for student well-being by working on mental and physical wellness projects. It is open to all undergraduate students, and no prior experience or commitment is necessary. If you are interested, just show up!

Initiatives in Progress

  • Mental Health Focus Groups: Focused on minority and marginalized student groups.

  • Wellness Days Awareness: Improving understanding of the Wellness Days pilot program.

  • Wellness Vending Machines: Expanding product offerings and improving quality.

  • NARCAN Accessibility: Advocating for the availability of NARCAN on campus.

  • Disability Resource Center (DRC) Advocacy: Streamlining DRC processes.

Past Accomplishments

  • Wellness Days Survey: Created and distributed a survey on student understanding of how to utilize Wellness Days via the Student Hub, receiving over 100 responses.

  • SGA Legislation: Passed legislation supporting the UHCS medical abortion readiness plan and accessibility.

  • NARCAN Training: Organized a NARCAN training, awareness, and information session for NU Wellness Week 2024.

  • COVID Information Distribution: Conducted tabling for COVID information and test distribution during NU Wellness Week 2024.
